FAQ

Is the soap Vegan?

No. Our focus was on using local products to create a soap that is both powerful and moisturizing. Lard is the perfect ingredient. Humans have been making soap with animal fat for generations, so we are carrying on this tradition. Our lard is sourced from pigs that were raised and butchered in Canada. That means local jobs, local food and, local soap.

What is Canola Oil?

If you’ve ever driven through the Canadian Prairies and witnessed endless fields of yellow flowers, you’re already familiar with Canola. A distant cousin of mustard, it’s seeds are pressed into oil that is then used in everything from cooking to biodiesel. It’s a versatile oil, from a versatile plant and it’s grown right in our backyard.

Where are you located?

We make our soap in the historic neighbourbood of Bridgeland in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Do you ship around the world?

Yes and while all of the ingredients in the soap are approved ingredients for soap in Alberta, there are so many laws that we just can’t keep up.

Do you use Essential oils?

No. Essential oils are great for aromatherapy. However, due to recent trends essential oils have become prohibitively expensive to use in our soaps. Since our soap is meant to be used to get your body clean, not aromatherapy we use just enough scent oils from reputable source to make our soaps smell great.
